HOW TO APPLY
The Barnstead Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Full-Time and Part-Time Police Officers. Minimum qualifications include: United States citizen, high school diploma or equivalent, must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment and the ability to pass a written, physical agility and oral board examination in addition to an extensive background investigation which may include a polygraph.The written exam will be waived for NH certified Full-Time Officers. Full-time and Part-Time certified officers, veterans and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. The Town of Barnstead offers a competitive benefits package for Full-Time Officers starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Candidates will be tested at the 35th percentile for physical fitness test based on the Cooper Aerobics Institute used by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council.
