HOW TO APPLY
The City of Benicia is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer at both the lateral and entry level on a continuous basis. Testing will be conducted on an "as-needed" basis in order to maintain an eligibility list from which future vacancies will be filled.
The City of Benicia will only give the entry level/cadet test usually once per year.
If you are interested in taking the exam sooner, the Napa Valley College Police Academy administers the test on a monthly basis, free of charge. If you take the exam there, submit your score to the City of Benicia, along with your application, and if you pass with a score of at least 46, you will be eligible to advance straight to an oral board interview at the City of Benicia.
