The Leadville Police Department has a staff of 7 patrol officers and 2 civilian staff serving approximately 2,800 residents. Leadville, the county seat of Lake County, Colorado, is a mountain community with a tourist & recreation based economy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum requirements are 4-year degree in criminal justice, public administration or closely related field; ability to obtain CO POST cert within 6 mos of employment; 10 years hands-on law enforcement experience with minimum 4 years supervisory; demonstrated ability to foster community and intergovernmental relations; grant writing experience and Spanish fluency a plus. - be a U.S. citizen - possess a valid driver's license - be at least 31 years of age - possess a 4 year degree SELECTION PROCESS - oral interview - drug screening test - background investigation - medical examination - psychological test HOW TO APPLY Contact Director of Administrative Services, Jasmine Hartman at 719-486-2092 for an application.
