MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- be a U.S. citizen
- possess a valid driver's license
- be at least 21 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- possess 60 semester hours / 90 quarter hours of study or equivalent Associates Degree from an accredited college, university, community college
OR
- possess three (3) years experience as a law enforcement officer (not currently certified in the state of Florida)
OR
- possess three (3) years active duty U.S. Military service
OR
- possess three (3) years service as a certified Detention Deputy or Reserve I or II Deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office
SELECTION PROCESS
- written entrance exam
- oral interview
- polygraph test
- drug screening test
- background investigation
- medical examination
- physical agility test
