HOW TO APPLY
The Laurel Police Department is a member of the Montana Law Enforcement Testing Consortium (MLETC). The MLETC administers a written and physical test to qualified applicants for the position of entry-level peace officer. Applicants who successfully pass the written and physical fitness tests will be placed in an eligibility pool and may apply with participating agencies when that agency is accepting applications. The qualified applicant will be eligible for hire for one year from the date of successfully completing the tests. November 2, 2008 is the last day you can register to take the tests in 2008. You can find out where the tests will be given and you can register to take the tests by clicking here. There is a $35 fee to register for the tests.
When the Billings Police Department is accepting applications they will be available at the City of Billings Human Resources Office located at 220 North 27th St, or at the City of Billings Crime Prevention Center located in Rimrock Mall.
